4th Doctor Comic Announced
Titan Comics continue to expand their Doctor Who line with the announcement of a 4th Doctor mini-series. Add this to the 10th, 11th, 12th, 9th mini-series and the recent launch of the 8th, and you’ve pretty much got an entire practice….*
The Doctor will be joined by fan favourite companion, Sarah Jane Smith, and is set in the Victorian era. Although this is a time period over used in Doctor Who’s history, it was also the setting for some of the 4th Doctor’s best adventures so with the right kind of story it could prove to be another success. Add to this the fact that the 4th Doctor is arguably the best Doctor, it’s difficult to see how this won’t be a winner. I can guarantee that there is already an audience waiting for this comic to come out and for some it may be a long wait until the March release date.
Titan’s official press release has this to say about the new mini-series:
Entitled ‘Gaze Of The Medusa’, the five-part series will hit stores in March 2016 and will be penned by Gordon Rennie (Missionary Man, Judge Dredd) and Emma Beeby (Witch Hunter, Judge Dredd) with art by Brian Williamson (The Twelfth Doctor, Spider-Man, X-Men).
The all-new adventure is set in Victorian England, where a mysterious woman commands a hidden army in a house of the blind. Scryclops stalk the streets…and something alien and terrible screams from prehistory – with a hunger that cannot be satisfied!
As usual there is also collection of variant covers to accompany the release in March next year, a couple which are pictured here.
The question now is, which Doctor should be next? Let us know in the comments or over on Facebook.
