Wild Canadian Otaku – A Gallery Of Cosplay From Anime North

Share with your fellow Consumers!

One of the largest anime conventions in North America, Anime North explodes at the Toronto Congress Centre every May, attracting anime, manga and video game fans from all over the country and beyond. Though the focus of the con, celebrating its 19th year in 2015, is of course Japanese pop culture in its myriad forms, there’s nothing exclusionary about the cosplay community that descends on the hall. Sure, as you roam the grounds under the constant roar of incoming flights (Toronto Pearson Airport is just yonder) there’s Naruto to the left of you, Inuyasha to the right and a veritable sea of Sailor Scouts in all directions, but you’re also going to come across Whovians, superheroes, Steampunkers and what seems like an entire nation’s stock of Worbla moulded into intricately massive armour. Here’s a selection of some of the stellar cosplay on display at AN 2015.
