EGX 2015 Tickets

Tickets for EGX 2015 (Eurogamer Expo) are on sale now and they’re likely to sell fast! EGX is the UK’s biggest consumer, trade and careers event for video games. This year will be the event’s debut at its new home in Birmingham, and it is promised to be the largest gaming event ever held in the UK and in the history of EGX.  With a whopping total of 80,000 visitors and exhibitors anticipated, the event will cover everything from retro gaming and indies to eSports and cosplay.

The expo runs from 24th – 27th September 2015 with early bird and standard tickets available each day, as well as the super pass that covers all four days of the event!

At EGX you’ll get access to test out and play many exclusive games prior to their release. More publishers than ever have already confirmed to be supporting the expo, including 2K, Bandai Namco Games, Bethesda Softworks, Capcom, EA, Nintendo, Team17 and more!  You will also have the opportunity to see virtual reality in action, as Oculus VR have confirmed their attendance.

There is much more to the expo than testing out the most anticipated games though! Those who have a real passion for video games can meet the legends of the industry, whether they are developers, press, or professional gamers! Included in the expo is the GamesIndustry Fair, where those who are focussed on a career in games development can attend Developer Sessions and visit the different stands for advice on how best to get into their dream job!

This year, EGX 2015 will also focus on the top YouTube channels and creators. Through a partnership with famous YouTube network Yogscast, attendees will be shown how to become the next successful YouTube sensation, and will be able to meet their current favourite stars in the flesh.

The managing director of Gamer Events, David Lilley expressed positivity about the event’s new location, “Taking EGX to the NEC gives us a great opportunity to reach a broader audience in the UK and we’re supremely confident that we’ll kick off strongly today”.

The move to Birmingham has made it easier and cheaper for visitors of the expo from all around the UK to attend. With travel and accommodation discounts being offered by Gamer Network’s partners to all EGX 2015 ticket holders.

Tickets will be offered at last year’s prices and are on sale now from the EGX website. There are a variety of ticket types available to suit everyone:

  • Day ticket – £17.50
  • Early entry ticket – £20
  • Four day Super Pass – £60

We at Need To Consume certainly can’t wait to see what’s in store at EGX 2015; do we have any consumers attending? Let us know in the comments!
