Roll7’s ‘Not A Hero’ launches on May 7th
Not A Hero is an interesting cover based shooter following professional assassin, Steve, who has been told by an anthropomorphic rabbit and mayoral candidate from the future called ‘BunnyLord’ to rid the streets of crime so that a he can win re-election.
You have a range of heroes that can fight with you and by using their skills strategically you have to make your way through the city’s three major districts, whilst persuading non-voters to vote for ‘Bunnylord’ on your way
For the devs and more technical gamers out there this game has been created using a new technology called ISO-Slant™, this is “a new proprietary technology that allows game developers to reach the sweet spot between 2D and 2½D perspectives with minimal effort. Not A Hero developer Roll7 is able to radically alter the standard 2D pixel art action game into an unbelievable 2¼D visual tour de force and creates a unique new genre sure to entertain for years to come.”
I’m really looking forward to giving this game a go, and it is also available to play at EGX Rezzed between 12-14 March 2015.
Developer Roll7 and video game label Devolver Digital are bringing ‘Not A Hero’ to PC on May 7th, and releasing onto the PS4 and PSVita later this year
