Episode 26 Kieron Gillen Interview Part 2
As promised last week, welcome to part two of our mammoth interview with Kieron Gillen, comic writer extraordinaire.
Last week we talked about his new book The Wicked + The Divine, along with current altern-iverse title Uber, and this week Hazel and Dapper continue to interrogate Kieron about the works that have led him to this point.
In only a few years, he has amassed a significant body of work for Marvel, including some of their biggest titles. From his less-well known work such as his Ares mini-series and S.W.O.R.D., up to such marquee titles as Uncanny X-Men, Gillen has continued to provide innovative takes on established characters and surprise readers with his sharp dialogue, well-observed relationships and delightfully wicked villains.
With the recent run on Young Avengers, alongside his frequent collaborator Jamie McKelvie, wrapped to great critical and fan acclaim, the time to launch their new book seems perfect.
To finish, here’s the promo ad for The Wicked + The Divine that we discussed in Part One:
The Wicked + The Divine is out June 18th
Uber is out monthly from Avatar
Iron Man is out monthly from Marvel and Kieron’s many previous Marvel books are all currently available in trade paperback.
