Loot Crate September 2014 – “Galactic”
One of the best feelings in the world is coming home from a long day at work to see a package waiting for you; even better when the contents of that package are a complete, nerdy surprise.

“Galactic”
So when I first heard about Loot Crate, my curiosity got the better of me and I placed an order right away!
When I opened it I was greeted with a large helping of galactic geekiness. Despite the overall space theme, the main focus seemed to be from the cult classic tv show Firefly. One of the first items that caught my eye was a hefty wad of cash! They may not be accepted at my local shop but if I were to travel to the far reaches of the ‘Verse I’m sure to find a planet where it’s legal tender.
That wasn’t the last we saw from the browncoats however; the box inside was designed to look just like Serenity, and the mini Funko figure of Captain Mal himself looks right at home inside.

Is that the droid I’m looking for at the back?
Looters were also treated to an Alien Funko ReAction figure, a fold out poster of Han Solo in carbonite and a fridge magnet mash-up of Asteroids and Star Wars. My favourite bit of loot this month however has to be the Tribble from Star Trek. I have been very careful not to feed it.
There were a few more bits and bobs to make up the rest of the loot; a pack of watermelon popping candy (which didn’t last me long at all), a digital code for some Halo: Escalation comics and this neat little badge.
That’s it for September’s Loot Crate; October’s theme has already been announced and will rather appropriately be focussed on Fear.
