Ultimate Warrior Dead, Aged 54

Only days after being welcomed back in to the WWE family and inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame, Jim Hellwig (The Ultimate Warrior) has died.

TMZ reports that as he was walking to his car outside a Phoenix hotel on Tuesday evening with his wife, he collapsed suddenly.  He was transported to a local hospital but a short time later was pronounced dead.

Many current and former WWE stars were quick to pay their condolences on social media:

He also made an appearance on Monday Night Raw and after what has since transpired, part of his speech seems much more poignant now:

“Every man’s heart one day beats its final beat, his lungs breath their final breath. And if what that man did in his life, makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them believe deeper in something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized by the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory, of those who honor him and make whatever the man did live forever.”

The Rocket Ship was filled up with fuel one last time, taking him back to Parts Unknown.

RIP Warrior
