EGX 2015 – 20,000 Tickets Sold In Two Weeks
It seems the idea of the UK’s biggest gaming expo being held in Birmingham hasn’t discouraged fans from snatching up tickets for this year’s event. A whopping 20,000 tickets have been sold since the tickets went on sale two weeks ago. This includes Early Entry and Standard tickets for each of the four days and the four day superpass that covers the entire time of the expo. The tickets sold so far equate to 20% of the spaces available, so get ’em quick as they’re going fast! Though I’m afraid 100% of the tickets provided at a discount for Virgin Media customers are now gone!
The event has garnered a huge amount of support from the biggest names in video game publishing – including 2K, Bandai Namco Games, Bethesda Softworks, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Green Man Loaded, Introversion Software, Nintendo, Oculus VR, PlayStation, SEGA, Square Enix, Team17, Ubisoft, Versus Evil and Xbox. Gamers attending the event will get a chance to sample the best gaming experiences of 2015 before they are released to the general public.
It’s clear that fans have fully embraced the new venue – this year EGX 2015 will be held at the NEC, just outside Birmingham. The city has great transport links to all over the country making it easier than ever to attend the event. Not only that but the NEC has the capacity to host the demand for tickets, so the show is set to be bigger than ever before!
For those fans in London who are facing the prospect of travelling this year, EGX have teamed up with Virgin Trains to offer a 25% discount on rail travel for those who have a valid ticket! (This is available nationwide, not just from London!).
- Day ticket – £17.50
- Early Entry ticket – £20
- Four day Super Pass- £60
